Fishing with Larry

Fishing with Larry, operated by Schoenborn Consulting Inc., arranges and facilitates bookings for fishing and outdoor travel experiences through independently operated lodges, outfitters, guides, airlines, charter operators, and transportation providers around the world.

The following terms explain the responsibilities of Fishing with Larry and the independent travel providers involved in your trip.

Booking Agent Role

Fishing with Larry acts solely as a booking agent for these independent third-party service providers. Fishing with Larry does not own, manage, operate, or control any boats, aircraft, lodging facilities, hunting or fishing operations, transportation services, or other on-site activities.
All services are provided by independent operators who are solely responsible for their own operations, equipment, and safety practices.

Supplier Changes

Fishing with Larry is not responsible for changes in ownership, management, personnel, facilities, equipment, or service quality of any lodge, outfitter, guide, or other service provider that may occur before or after a reservation is made.

Responsibility for Third-Party Services

Fishing with Larry is not responsible for the acts, omissions, errors, delays, injuries, losses, or damages caused by any lodge, outfitter, guide, airline, transportation company, or other third-party service providers involved in your travel arrangements.

Hosted Trips

From time to time a representative of Fishing with Larry may accompany guests on hosted trips. In such cases the representative acts solely as a trip host or coordinator and does not operate, control, or supervise the activities conducted by independent lodges, guides, or outfitters.

Assumption of Risk

Fishing, hunting, boating, and travel to remote destinations involve inherent risks that may result in injury, illness, property damage, or death. These risks may include weather conditions, terrain, wildlife encounters, equipment malfunction, fishing or hunting equipment injuries, transportation incidents, and limited access to emergency or medical services.
By booking travel through Fishing with Larry, travelers expressly acknowledge and voluntarily assume these inherent risks.

Fishing Conditions

Fishing success may vary due to weather conditions, water levels, tides, migration patterns, seasonal variations, or other natural factors beyond anyone’s control. Fishing with Larry does not guarantee fishing success, catch rates, or the availability of specific fish species during any trip. Changes in weather or environmental conditions may also limit fishing time or access to certain areas.
Variations in fishing conditions, weather, or fish activity are a normal part of outdoor travel and do not constitute grounds for refunds.

Safety Instructions

Travelers are responsible for following all safety instructions provided by guides, captains, lodge staff, or other service providers. Fishing with Larry is not responsible for injuries or damages resulting from a traveler’s failure to follow such instructions or from reckless or unsafe behavior.

Remote Locations & Medical Access

Many destinations offered by Fishing with Larry are located in remote areas with limited medical facilities. Emergency medical care or evacuation may require private aircraft or specialized transportation and may involve significant expense.
Travelers are responsible for all costs associated with medical treatment or evacuation.

Travel Documents

Travelers are responsible for obtaining all required travel documents including passports, visas, fishing licenses, hunting permits, and other documentation required by local authorities. Travelers must comply with all local laws and regulations.

Travel Insurance Recommendation

Fishing with Larry strongly recommends that travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage for trip cancellation or interruption, medical expenses, and emergency evacuation.
Some travelers choose to obtain additional emergency assistance services such as Global Rescue membership. Fishing with Larry does not guarantee the services of any specific provider.

Changes, Delays & Transportation

Fishing with Larry is not responsible for airline cancellations, schedule changes, delays, missed connections, baggage delays, or other transportation disruptions. All transportation services are provided by independent carriers and are subject to the terms and conditions of those providers. Fishing with Larry is not responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged baggage or fishing equipment transported by airlines or other carriers.
Travelers are responsible for booking flights that meet the arrival and departure requirements of their destination and for allowing sufficient time for connections, transfers, and charter flights.

Pricing & Availability

Prices, schedules, and availability are subject to change until a reservation deposit has been received and confirmed. Rates may change due to currency fluctuations, supplier adjustments, fuel surcharges, or government fees.
Cancellation policies are determined by the individual lodge, outfitter, or trip operator and may result in non-refundable deposits or payments. Travelers agree to abide by the cancellation and refund policies established by the lodge or outfitter and should review those policies carefully prior to booking.

Limitation of Liability

Fishing with Larry shall not be liable or responsible, to the fullest extent permitted by law, for personal injury, property damage, delays, loss of enjoyment, or additional expenses arising from the acts or omissions of independent third-party travel providers or circumstances beyond our control, including weather, airline delays, mechanical issues, government actions, labor disputes, natural events, or other unforeseen events.

Force Majeure / Events Beyond Our Control

Fishing with Larry shall not be responsible or liable for any delay, cancellation, interruption, or change in travel arrangements caused by events beyond our control. Such events may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, severe weather, floods, fires, pandemics, epidemics, government restrictions, political unrest, labor disputes, transportation disruptions, or the closure or operational changes of lodges, outfitters, or other travel providers.
This may include situations where a lodge, outfitter, or service provider ceases operations, changes ownership, or materially alters services after a reservation has been made.
In such circumstances, Fishing with Larry will make reasonable efforts to assist travelers with rescheduling or alternative arrangements when possible. However, Fishing with Larry cannot guarantee the availability of substitute services and is not responsible for any resulting costs or losses.
Fishing with Larry is not responsible for financial losses resulting from the closure, bankruptcy, or cessation of operations of any lodge, outfitter, guide service, airline, or other travel provider.
Travelers are strongly encouraged to obtain travel insurance that includes coverage for trip cancellation, interruption, and emergency medical evacuation.

Governing Law

These Travel Terms & Disclaimers shall be governed by the laws of the State of Montana. Any legal action arising from travel arrangements booked through Fishing with Larry must be brought exclusively in the courts located within Montana.

Acknowledgment

By requesting trip information, placing a reservation, or submitting a deposit through Fishing with Larry, travelers acknowledge that they have reviewed and accepted these Travel Terms & Disclaimers.
