We arrange guided halibut fishing trips to outstanding lodges in Alaska and Canada, where you'll have the opportunity to catch everything from great-eating "chicken" halibut to giant, trophy-sized fish. For the table, many anglers consider halibut in the 20- to 80-pound range to offer the best eating quality. Their fillets are typically firmer, whiter, milder, and more delicate than those of giant "barn door" halibut. While landing a 100-pound-plus fish is an unforgettable accomplishment, many anglers choose to harvest a smaller halibut for the table and release the true giants to fight another day.
