Flyfishing for Tarpon  - Venezuela
Non-stop tarpon action with fly rods and light spin tackle. Tarpon average 2 to 10-pounds with an occasional 50-pound trophy. The Tacarigua Lagoon called Rio Chico is separated from the Caribbean by a narrow band of beach and larger lakes. It's an ideal habitat for small tarpon and snook.
16-foot boats are powered by outboard motors, with casting platforms and swivel chairs. They are skippered by native guides who'll take you to the tarpon grounds. Two anglers per guide.
Home to thousands of scarlet ibis, each day begins and ends in an unforgettable rookery. Lovely, well-ventilated accommodations, with a swimming pool and fine food. Fresh seafood and native dishes, with the main meal served mid-day.

Accommodations, first and last night's hotel in Caracas, meals, open bar, guided fishing and ground transfers.
