Guided fly-fishing on untouched wilderness rivers
Ouzel is in their 22nd year guiding anglers in Russia. They have a staff of six for a group of eight anglers. Excellent staff prepares camp and hearty Russian meals. Top of the line Sotar Rafts and Northface tents. All you have to do is fish and relax.
Sample itinerary for 9-nights and 8-days package:
- Day 1 - Saturday: Arrive in Petropavlovsk in the morning and helicopter to the river’s edge. The guides get the rafts ready while the cooks prepare a nice hot lunch. Half day of fishing. You’ll have lunch and camp right there or start your float down the river.
- Day 2-7 Sunday to Friday: Coffee at 7:00 a.m. Enjoy breakfast and begin fishing down river. Camp is promptly packed up by the guides. Your raft and guide catches up with you. Two anglers per raft and highly trained guide. Wade and float leisurely down the river through islands and back sloughs.
- Day 8 - Saturday: Morning-fish. Afternoon-helicopter back to Petropavlovsk. Check into hotel, shower and go out for dinner. Time permitting you’ll have a private guided tour in town.
- Sunday - Day 9: You’ll fly home from Kamchatka on Sunday arriving back in the U.S. on Monday.
Includes: helicopter flights, sleeping tents, kitchen tents, meals, private transportation in Kamchatka, full time interpreter, fully guided fishing. They can provide sleeping pads, cots and waterproof bags if you need them. Vodka and beer provided on the river in limited amounts. They carry a satellite phone for emergency communications.
