Very nice swimming pool.The Rio Indio Ecolodge opened in 2002, and is located on the banks of the San Juan River, the gateway to the wild and virtually unexplored Rio Indio Maíz Biological Reserve.
Harry Gualco said this is the nicest lodge he’s ever been to, and the tarpon, snook, and freshwater fishing was excellent, which is saying a lot considering Harry’s been in the sportfishing travel business for over thirty years. They have three 25-foot ocean boats equipped for offshore fishing, primarily tarpon, snook and red snapper. They also have nine pangas for fishing the jungle freshwaters of the national park for gaupote (rainbow bass), mohara, machaca or snook.
