Mexico - Ascension Bay Bonefish Club

Permit Specialists

Fish over 20-miles of remote saltwater flats and lagoons. It’s an angler’s dream for bonefish, permit, tarpon, ladyfish and barracuda. The lodge is open November thru June.

Typical bones are 2 to 5-pounds with some 3 to 6-pounds and a few in the 6 to 8-pound category. The bay is a nursery and giant feeding ground for permit. The permit population and size is unequaled in the world.

Knowledgeable guides speak very good fishing English. Custom skiffs offer a generous casting platform to fish from. Two guides per skiff and two anglers. They help you see permit better and keep fly lines from fouling at critical times. Snorkel the world’s second largest barrier reef, or lounge in beachside hammocks.

Air-conditioned house is at the water’s edge in a Mayan lobster fishing village. Spacious bedrooms. The club hosts a maximum of six. Delicious meals feature both American dishes and local Caribbean/Mexican favorites.

Includes: Lodging, meals, margaritas during happy hour, wine with dinner, beer on the boat, ground transfers from Cancun to lodge, guided fishing and fishing license.
