Ascension Bay Bonefish
Premier flats fishing for bonefish, permit and tarpon.
Lodge is in a small Mayan lobster fishing village on the Caribbean coast
of the Yucatan Peninsula.
Stay in rustic, but comfortable thatched
roofed structures with solar lighting, beds surrounded with mosquito
netting and hammocks for lounging. Lighting and hot water are provided
with a 12-volt solar system.
Mangroves, marshes, bays and reefs provide a fascinating sanctuary for
birders and botanists. Snorkel in crystal clear water on the second largest
barrier reef in the world. Yucatan cuisine with the freshest of local
seafood, tropical fruits, and vegetables are served guest house style in
their airy palapa.

Mexico's Trophy
Largemouth
Lake Comedero is the most productive bass fishing lake in
Mexico. Florida strain largemouth average 5 to 9-pounds, with 30 to 70
per boat per day. The record for the lake is 18-pounds. Pro-Team 17.5' Bass
Tracker 50 hp Mercury with Minnkota trolling motors are operated from
the center of the boat. Boats are fully equipped with live wells, front
and back swivel seats. Local guides know the lake. Spanish speaking
guides know basic fishing English. A cheat sheet is provided to anglers
so communication will not be a problem. Two anglers per guide and boat.
Peak months are January through March. Fish spawn in March.
Lodge is situated in a three acre mountain valley, nestled in the
breathtaking Sierra Madre Mountains. Lodge is within walking distance of
the lake. View the mountainside from the large verandah with rockers
and hammocks. Enjoy both traditional Mexican and down home American. Five
guest rooms are located behind the lodge. Each room has two double beds
with shower and fans. The Lodge hosts up to ten guests and is open
November thru April.
