This beautiful lodge is located on the banks of the Rio Colorado, which is Costa Rica’s largest river in terms of mass flow. We have fished this lodge for many years and can attest to its world renowned tarpon fishing.
Large and numerous tarpon are caught both in the Caribbean and river itself. Tuna and wahoo fishing is normally excellent with other species available. The backwaters contain snook, guapote, mojara and machaca which are fantastic light tackle opponents. Very experienced, English speaking guides. Fully equipped 23’ deep V-hull fiberglass boats with Yamaha 150 horsepower motors. With spectacular views of the river, the lodge is located in Barra del Colorado Wildlife Refuge, a 400,000 acre reserve.
Amenities include: Jacuzzi, massage room, tackle shop, internet salon, swimming pool with eight foot waterfall and more. Spacious, air conditioned cottages with private, tiled bathrooms. Canoe virgin rainforest rivers, view numerous species of monkeys and birds in the jungle, and pursue legendary 75 to 200-pound tarpon.
All you can eat buffet-style meals are described as the best in Costa Rica. Open bar with satellite TV. Local wine, beer and soft drinks are free.
