Chile - Estancia del Zorro Lodge

Patagonia Brown Trout

This very deluxe lodge is situated on 45,000 private acres in both Chile and Argentina. Five private streams and lakes are accessed by drift boats, jet boats, quality rafts or by walking in. Many large browns and rainbows are on the property, a short drive from the Lodge. The Rio Simpson, the crown dry-fly jewel of the Coyhaique region, is yours to float and is only one hour from the estancia.

You’ll also have the unique opportunity to explore private freestone streams in Argentina and Chile, reached by 30 to 90 minute rides in four-wheel drive vehicles from the lodge.

While some waters offer exciting dry fly action, others require challenging sightfishing in pristine, crystal clear waters where trout can grow as large as 32.” The Estancia del Zorro spring creek is a mere 200 yards from the lodge and offers easy walk-in fishing for large, heavy brown trout.

The lodge hosts a maximum of twelve guests. Gourmet meals and open bar. Peaceful and secluded, the Estancia area is a bird watcher’s paradise for Andean condors, Chilean Southern-ringed kingfishers, eagles, ibis, torrent ducks and pink flamingos. Nature’s wonders abound for fly fishers, photographers and hikers.

Includes:  lodging, meals, open bar, guided fishing and transportation to and from Balmaceda, Chile airport and the lodge. Saturday to Saturday.
