Peacock Bass are very territorial; which is why commercial or sportfishing can rapidly over fish popular areas. When low water prevents passage, this type of fishing halts, yet beyond these barriers is where the great fishing starts.
Over the last 18-years, River Plate has perfected a highly developed system to fish the Amazon River. This consists of deluxe, shallow draft, floating cabins which combine daily mobility with the ability to bypass shallow water. This is the key to exceptional peacock bass fishing. Drawing only four inches of water, the floating cabins navigate past shallow water natural barriers in comfort and style.
Fishing is not only better in quantity of fish caught, but also in size. You’ll spend more time fishing and the peacocks are not as spooked. During your trip, they often move their shallow draft lodge and cabins to new unfished waters. You’ll also fish from 20’ long shallow draft tunnel boats with 40 h.p. outboard motors.
Each 10’x15’ cabin has air conditioning, and a private bathroom with shower. This unique and first-of-its-kind operation fishes ultra-remote rivers. Choose from our hosted week or get together a group and go any dates between October 15, 2012 and March 1, 2013.
Includes: airport reception, all transfers, first night at Tropical Hotel, round-trip Cessna Turbo-Caravan float plane flight (200 to 250-miles) to floating cabins, lodging, guided fishing, fishing license, quality baitcasting rod and reel combos, meals, open bar, daily laundry service, and free copy of Larry’s 40-page book Fly-Fishing for Peacock Bass.
