Golden Dorado
Called "River Tigers" by the
locals, the golden dorado is considered the hardest fighting freshwater fish
on the planet. The dorado is named for its bright gold color. A primitive
species of the salmon family, the dorado is renowned for its incredibly
fierce strike, long hard runs, high jumps and fighting stamina.
You should average twenty
dorado strikes per day, plus other species. All catch and release fishing.
Fish from comfortable aluminum riverboats with 40 h.p. Yamaha motors. At
times, you can fish from the banks, or wade, if desired.
Two anglers per guide. Season
runs from October through April, with peak fishing in March, October and
November.
Stay in Spanish style adobe
cottages on a working cattle ranch. Air conditioned, comfortable bedrooms
with modern plumbing. The Argentine barbeque, the "Asado" is an
unforgettable feast.
Includes: Lodging, guided fishing,
fishing license, meals, wine beer, soft drinks. Lodge accommodates six.
