Alaska - Toman's Nushagak River King Camp

Camp opens June 20 and runs to July 10, 2012.

Late June kicks off an incredible run of Chinook salmon that is beyond world class. The camp is on the bank of the Nushagak River with an excellent run only a few feet from shore. The camp offers a minimum of 10-hours guided fishing daily. In June and July, this area receives 20-hours of good daylight. Average kings are a silvery 20-pounds, with exceptional fish weighing up to 50 pounds.

Prone to leaping from the water, the Nushagak Chinook are not only aggressive, they're mean. Season average for this camp is over thirty fish per day, per boat.

Guides use 20' to 25' Alumaweld jet boats that seat four to six anglers. Two guests share a 12'x14' two-room wall tent with screened porch. Camp also includes main dining hall, cook tent, and heated shower tent. Hearty breakfasts and family style meals.

Start the day at 8:00 a.m. with a full breakfast and then to fishing at 9:00. Return for lunch at 1:00 p.m. Then back on the water. At 7:00 p.m. return to camp for a great dinner which is serviced at 8:00. Afterwards you can go back out fishing or stay in camp and enjoy the camp fire or take a hot shower. Those who choose to fish will return back to camp at 10:30 p.m., finishing out the day.

Includes:  Camp accommodations, meals, guided fishing, all tackle (except for fly-fishing equipment and flies), roundtrip flight Dillingham to camp, fishing license with Alaska king salmon stamp and vacuum packed fish care.
