Alaska Clearwater Lodge
Large rainbows - 20-pounds plus possible
Hot specials for big rainbows and salmon.
This is one of a very few spots in Alaska
where that
20-pound rainbow is possible. September is when the
big rainbows come down from Lake Iliamna – Alaska’s largest lake –
to feed on the eggs and flesh from the world’s largest sockeye run.
The Kvichak (kwee-jack) sockeye run is the largest salmon run of any kind in the world. Take a break and fish a 4-weight for Arctic grayling, approaching 20-inches with dry flies. You’ll fish many braided areas that give you the feel of a small stream. The largest bows are caught in September. Knowledgeable guides welcome all levels of experience. Heavy-duty aluminum boats with Honda motors.
This lodge was formerly known as Ole Creek Lodge. Most packages are two anglers per boat and guide with nice, long fishing days. Good home-style meals. This is not a fancy lodge; it’s more of a fish camp. Two rooms share a bathroom. Individually controlled heaters in each room.
Includes: Lodging (single rooms upon request),
meals, guided fishing, use of fly rods, reels, spin gear, flies, and round-trip transfers Igiugig to Lodge.
